Feature Overview
Voice Writing
Section titled “Voice Writing”Talk instead of type in any app. Pick a writing style to shape the tone, set an output language (14 languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, and Spanish), expand a short phrase into a full block of text with Smart Phrases, and add names and jargon to the Dictionary so they’re recognized correctly. Everything you dictate is saved in your history so you can paste it again.
Voice Shortcuts
Section titled “Voice Shortcuts”Open apps, websites, and folders with one sentence, trigger in-app keyboard shortcuts, or search the web with the engine of your choice. Select text and ask Owlfy to translate, rewrite, summarize, or explain it. You can also type commands into the text command bar.
AI Agent
Section titled “AI Agent”Describe a task by text or voice and attach files or images. The agent reads, processes files, runs tools, works in the browser, and hands you the result. Add instructions as it goes, stop it at any time, or pick up an old conversation where you left off. Every file it creates is collected in the Outputs panel.
Voice Notebook
Section titled “Voice Notebook”Double-tap the Voice Writing key to start live dictation from your mic, your computer’s audio, or both. Each note is saved with its recording. Summarize it, get a brief, turn it into an email, or translate it with one click, and organize notes with tags. The AI Agent can search your notes for you too.
Skills and connections

On the Connect page, you can also authorize other online apps for the AI Agent to use.

Section titled “Scheduled Tasks and Reminders”Have tasks run once, daily, weekly, monthly, or at a set interval, or get reminders when it’s time.

Clipboard and Text Command Bar
Section titled “Clipboard and Text Command Bar”Press Option + V (Alt + V on Windows and Linux) to bring back text, images, files, and folders you’ve copied; press Enter to paste. Press Option + Space (Ctrl + Space on Windows and Linux) for the text command bar: give commands without talking, do quick math, and convert colors.

Models and personalization
Section titled “Models and personalization”- Models: Owlfy’s own models by default. You can also connect OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, OpenRouter and other third-party models, or local models served by Ollama or LM Studio. Connect a Local Model →
- Local speech recognition: on supported computers, speech is turned into text right on your machine, so recordings never leave it.
- Personalization: interface language, light or dark theme, keys, microphone, which folders the AI may access, and where outputs are saved.
- Your stats: the home page shows how many words you’ve dictated, how many actions you’ve run, how long you’ve dictated, and roughly how much time Owlfy has saved you.
