Controls and Shortcuts

Owlfy has two voice keys with a simple split: one writes, one acts.

You can change all of these in Settings → General and Settings → Clipboard. The Voice Writing and Voice Action keys must be different.

  1. Click where you want the text.
  2. Hold the Voice Writing key and speak.
  3. Let go, and the text is typed in.

You can also tap once to start and tap again to stop, which is handy for longer passages.

Hold the Voice Action key, say “open Slack” or “search for weekend hiking trails”, and let go.

To work on some text or a file, select it first, then say what you want.

Double-tap the Voice Writing key and choose to record your mic, your computer’s audio, or both. Find it afterwards in the Voice Notebook.

Under Settings → General → Mouse wheel as voice key, set the wheel button to act as the Voice Action key (default), the Voice Writing key, or nothing.

Press Option + Space (Ctrl + Space on Windows and Linux), type a command, and press Enter. It works just like Voice Action. It’s also a calculator and color converter, and ↑ ↓ scroll through past commands. More about the text command bar →

Drag one or more files into the AI Agent and say what to do and what format you want. Finished files appear in the Outputs panel at the top of the window.
