Clipboard and Text Command Bar
Two small tools for the things you do dozens of times a day: one brings back what you copied, the other lets you give commands without speaking.
Clipboard history
Section titled “Clipboard history”Copied something new and lost what was there before? Owlfy keeps track of what you’ve copied recently so you can bring it back any time.
Open and paste
Section titled “Open and paste”The default shortcut is Option + V on macOS and Alt + V on Windows and Linux. You can change it in Settings → Clipboard.
- Click where you want to paste.
- Press the shortcut to open clipboard history.
- Use ← → to move between items, or just start typing to search.
- Press Enter to paste, or Esc to close.
Text, images, files, and folders are all saved. To paste a file, the original needs to still be where it was.
Manage your history
Section titled “Manage your history”In Settings → Clipboard, choose how many items to keep (100 by default; the maximum depends on your membership). You can delete individual items you don’t want to keep.
Clipboard history is stored only on your computer and is never uploaded. Since things you copy can include passwords or verification codes, clear it out from time to time.
Text command bar
Section titled “Text command bar”In a meeting, in a library, or next to someone sleeping? Type instead of using Voice Action.
Open and use it
Section titled “Open and use it”The default shortcut is Option + Space on macOS and Ctrl + Space on Windows and Linux. You can change it in Settings → General → Text command bar shortcut key.
Type a command and press Enter. It works exactly like holding the Voice Action key and saying it:
- “Open Slack”, “Open Downloads”, “Open GitHub”
- “Google camping tents”
- “Move the screenshots on my desktop into one folder” (bigger requests are handed to the AI Agent automatically)
Press Esc to close the bar.
Reuse past commands
Section titled “Reuse past commands”Press ↑ ↓ in the bar to scroll through commands you’ve typed or said before, then press Enter to run one again.
Quick math
Section titled “Quick math”Type a calculation like 128*3.5+20. The result appears right away; press Enter to copy it.
Color conversion
Section titled “Color conversion”Type a color like #3B82F6 or rgb(59,130,246) to see a preview and every format; press Enter to copy the HEX value.
